For kids of all ages to attend and learn about architecture while honing their creative skills
Sketching is a fun way for children to focus and see things previously unnoticed in the built environment, and to better understand the various aspects of architecture, such as functionality and artistry.
This educational program was originally created in 1988 by the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara as a way to both connect architects with children and their parents and to acquire appreciation for architecture and the built environment. Now after almost 30 years and much success, KDA is now being offered at a state-wide level. Attendees will learn about the structure and the history, be provided all supplies, and meet architects who will help participants sketch the scene.
Come sketch with the architects!
