The second in our series of roundtables, “Best Practices with Consultants” will focus on how we can improve our workflow, communication, and better our collaboration with our consulting teams.  Many young professionals haven’t had the opportunity to coordinate directly with consultants, and seasoned professionals have questions/comments that come from years

of experience – all are welcome.

We have invited representatives from engineering firms, interior design, landscape design, and urban design leaders, to advise on best practices for better collaboration. Each practice leader will have a table, and participants will circulate through each table to discuss the different specialties.

Learning Objectives

Participants will gain a better understanding of when to bring in consultants in the design process.

Participants will be able to determine if hiring a consultant is needed for their project.

Participants will learn what information is critical to obtain a proposal from a consultant.

Participants will learn basic best practices for collaborating with consultant, with the opportunity to ask about their specific building typology.
