Job Description: Works with and leads others in the successful completion of a project.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises plans to meet changing requirements. Identifies team member availability and assigns responsibilities.
  • Develop project design and prepare presentation materials.
  • Manages all aspects of a project and reviews deliverables prepared by others before delivering to client. Applies the firm’s methodology and enforces project standards and quality assurance.
  • Manages project budget.
  • Maintains client files. Sends information to clients.  Manages day to day client interaction
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization when necessary. Has a full understanding of our pricing and billing procedures.
  • Assures project documents are completed and signed.
  • Identifies business development and sales opportunities in current projects.
  • Participate in proposal efforts including project scope and assessments.


  • Serves as a role model and mentor for others.
  • Manages team development.
  • Effectively utilizes Team members, and assists with their career development.
  • Willingness to teach other staff members and develop their skills
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with solutions.
  • Resolves team conflicts when they arise.
  • Continues to increase own knowledge base to remain current in the industry.

  • Effective strong communication skills at all levels from team to management to client.


  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and team.
  • Successful experience in personnel supervision, strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Competent knowledge of building materials, specifications and construction techniques for commercial projects.
  • Relatable experience in the application of codes and ordinances, and with the entitlement through plan check process.
  • Experience and ability to develop and nurture positive and professional relationships with fellow employees.
  • Willing to invest time in client acquisition.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional degree required in the field of Architecture.
  • Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in design of commercial projects.
  • Architectural license preferred.
